I was reading on another blog this week about how a very famous blogger stated at a conference a couple of weeks ago that people read blogs because they care about the character you’ve created.

Let’s allow that to marinate for a moment.

Moment = over.

A couple of months ago someone commented on my old blog something to the effect of ‘do hilarious things just wait to happen to you’…or something.  And this was rather hilarious to me, considering I feel like I live in a perpetual state of stress and anxiety—but that’s a different story for a different day. 

It seemed that I had created a character, albeit, one I’m pretty happy with, with a bit of impatience and quick-wittedness.  I like her.  And it’s a pretty good thing since we’re pretty much together 24/7.   

So I couldn’t have been more pleased with just how timely this statement on ‘blog characters’ was, as I sat, creating concepts and categories for this, my new blog, that attempts to reveal me as a whole—well, not really ‘whole’ (I’m really not trying to put all of my business in the street…er…internets), but as much of a ‘whole’ that I can tolerate.

And by tolerate I mean, ‘nothing that will impede my job search after graduation.’

Other characters include:

The husband– that’s pretty self-explanatory

G- my 89% potty trained almost 3 year old

LB- my 8 month old.  I call him LB because he’s little and brown, hence, ‘little brown’.  He’s also kind of fat.

Winston- our uppity dog that suffers from anal leakage.
